Welcome to My Dog Is Nuts. We offer positive reinforcement, reward-based training for your four legged companion that is free of pain, fear and force. The methods we use are ethical and based on proven scientific research, allowing you to better understand your dogs needs and build an emotionally rewarding trust relationship with them- even if they are a bit nuts.
I am an Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) accredited trainer and my business is fully insured.
Based in South East London, we cover Bromley, Chislehurst, Eltham, Mottingham, Orpington, Sidcup, parts of Kent and other areas upon request.

One to one dog training
Is your dog pulling on the lead, jumping up or has poor recall? Our one to one training is tailored to your dog’s needs. You will benefit from the undivided attention of your trainer and will have the opportunity to work with your dog on specific skills you find important and also recommended by your trainer.
One to one dog behaviour consultations
We will work with you and your dog to address any areas of concern or behavioural issues you might be experiencing. We aim to identify what causes the unwanted behaviour and offer a personalised approach and behaviour modification plan. The techniques we offer are positive and reward based, and we will support you on your journey to become your dog’s best friend. We offer in person and online single consultations and packages. All behaviour consultations include additional follow up online support.
First time dog owners consultations
Getting a new puppy or rescuing an older dog for the first time can be scary. Do not worry – our first time dog owner consultations offer the advice and support needed to to set you and your dog up for success. From choosing the right dog for you to welcoming them in their new forever home, we will help you to master the basics of dog ownership and build a strong foundation for a positive relationship with your pet.
New puppy – one to one puppy consultations
Our new puppy training package is designed to guide you on your journey to success. Whether you are a first time dog owner or you just have forgotten what it is like to have a puppy, we will equip you with knowledge to navigate what could be an overwhelming experience.You will learn how to communicate effectively with your puppy, understand their body language and specific needs, help them build their confidence and establish a strong bond with your puppy based on trust.
Children and dogs
We focus on safe and positive interaction between your kids and dogs. We will help you understand if the dog feels comfortable and what they are trying to communicate. We will discuss elements like body language, boundaries, positive reinforcement, supervision and more.
Training walks
Our training walks offer an opportunity for an experienced and certified dog trainer to work closely with your dog in a pressure-free environment. During these specialised tailored walks, our trainer uses positive reinforcement techniques to address your dog’s individual training needs – from reinforcing basic commands, improving leash manners, enhancing social skills, to addressing specific behavioural issues. The training walks take place in a variety of environments, including urban areas, parks, and natural settings, allowing your dog to encounter different stimuli and learn how to navigate various situations calmly and confidently.
